Somewhere along the line I read that if you use half granulated sugar and half confections sugar, the cookies won't spread that much - but I know conf. sugar contains cornstarch - how would they taste and look?

not sure about 1/2 and 1/2 but my recipe only calls for powdered sugar and it's the only one i am allowed to use anymore (tried some other ones and the family wouldn't eat them)
