Does anyone have any hints, suggestions or even templates for a decent press release? Not too serious of one, something light and fun...any ideas?

lots of links on format for a press release:

http://www.google.com/search?q=press+release+format&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGLL_en___US359

and from Microsoft Templates

and general search results for templates

---------------------

always do the 5w+H --> who, what, when, where, why, how -- 3rd person voice

add multiple short quotes that can be lifted or used as pull quotes

include at least one photo -- and write the caption for it.

----

remember -- journalism is STORY telling! not essay writing or report writing.

find a hook/angle/slant and use that to craft a compelling story.
