I want to make something like what is on top of this cake. Anyone have any advice on how to get it to stand up? Thanks!

Apparently I could also use some advice on how to post pictures. icon_razz.gif

the link you provided is for google mail, there's no photo

I'll attach a pic of a gumpaste monogram I made and hopefully it's the same type you're after!

This one was done by rolling out snakes of gumpaste and laying them on a sheet of wax paper to dry, after rolling them out I shoved a piece of florists wire up through the letter in 2 different spots, making sure the part sticking out of the letter was nice and long so it would help to sturdy it once it was standing in the cake. It was very secure and stayed put for about 6 hrs. before the cake was cut, and then another 3 hrs. after it was cut and transported w/ the top cake...so they're sturdy (though they do have some weight to them)
