Help!! i'm making a replica sea ray boat cake. Any advice on how to make the railings and posts that go around the front part of the deck?? Also anyone who has made something similar, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would roll out gumpaste into a long thin snake and measure out the length of the railing you want on your boat with a piece of yarn ...form the shape of the railing and let dry completely on wax paper...this would be your V shaped rail I am assuming that goes around the front of a sea ray boat...for all of the vertical rails holding up the main rail I would use fondant covered toothpicks stick into the cake then at the tops place a dot of royal icing then lay your main rail on top...of course it is going to have to be properly measured and might take some time...hope that helped!
