I need to attach a couple of lolly sticks to a cake topper (to stop me from worrying that the topper will fall.
I don't want to make royal icing so can I use gumpaste and let it dry? Also if I add water to the gumpaste will it set up? TIA icon_smile.gif

I've never tried it, but there is such a thing as "gumpaste glue" :

Use melted chocolate. Go to Michael's, Wal-mart or Hobby lobby and buy a package of Candy Melts. Melt in microwave according to directions. When this dries it is as stong as cement! I use it on all my attachments!!

HTH
