I made the engagement ring box cake in my albums (wouldnt let me attach here) for a friend of mine. I am pleased with the way it looks but I wanted some other opinions. I know next time I will make one I will make the boxes square for sure. Any thing different I should of done?

I am doing her wedding cake and it will be my first cake so I am wanting to make a good impression with this. Her wedding cake will have red and white roses so that is why I added them to kind of tie it all in together.

I think the idea is fab and you have executed it well, as you said square would be better.

My only other thought is it is clearly meant to be a ring but all I can see is the diamond, I think it would be better if you could just see a bit of the ring section like you would in a box.
