I am looking for a good recipe for FBCT.I don't use crusting BC so I never make it.Does anyone have a good recipe?
I have always used my all crisco recipe that is simalar to the Wilton Class Buttercream Recipe. I never saw a point to making a different icing than what I use normally just for it, but other claim that a half butter/half crisco recipe works or all butter recipe works better. I never had any issues with mine, so I think it varies per person.
My recipe is:
1 lb powder sugar
1 cup crisco
Flavorings (usually a teaspoon of vanilla and butter)
and then about 3-4 Tablespoons water (I really just go by feel now.)
