Have to make a crystal ball for a dragon cake. Ideally I'd like the ball to be more than an inch in diameter but can't seem to find a half sphere silicone mold or hard candy mold... Anyone know of a source OR a simple technique I can use to not burn my hands but to shape the sugar into a ball on my own?

THANKS!

chef Rubber has silicon sphere molds in different sizes. You can use those.
