I am planning on doing a teapot sitting on top of a table cake soon. I would like to know the best way to support the teapot? I plan on using the wilton sports ball pan for the teapot and either a 10inch round or square for the table.

Would a wooden dowel through the teapot down to the table work?

i would support just like any tiered cake. Cake board/plate and dowels/pillars.
