My 17 year old daughter is in the kitchen frosting the stand up ducky cake. She has been around cake decorating for most of her life, but for the most part she has taken a back seat to her WMI mother and culinary school sister in the kitchen. But there she is- kicking me out of the kitchen to make this cake for her brother (who just got back from his 7 month deployment in the Middle East).
Is she making a cute yellow fuzzy (easy) ducky? Nope! She is re-creating a photo shop ROBOT ducky that she made for him early in his deployment- in cake!
This proud mom just wanted the cake decorating world to know what a great kid I have!
You should be proud! Please post a picture we would love to see it!
Oh Mom so happy for you! Daughter in kitchen and son coming home. You must be floating. God Bless our boys, my son still in Iraq. Congrats on such awesome children.
Well here it is-- the darn picture was too big to post directly here-- so I put it in my album. I think she did a great job!
She did a GREAT job!! Give her a big hug!!
I love the robot twist to it, good for her, so creative!
That is a fantastic cake! Congratulations on raising a wonderful daughter, and even more congratulations for having your son home safely!
She did a wonderful job, give her a hug from me & I am so happy your son is coming home. God Bless our Troops.
