Can anyone help me out here? I need silver fondant how do I get silver ?

I'd love to know this myself!! I have more and more people asking for silver. Not the whole cake...just "ribbon trim".

I paint fondant with a luster dust called NU Silver by CK Products....

Make a gray fondant and use the Nu Silver dust.

Will the Wilton Silver luster dust do the same?? Did you mix it with alcohol?? Thanks for the info!! icon_wink.gif

Probably. The Nu Silver gives a solid metallic sheen which is very realistic looking. Generally, the Wilton luster dusts seem more sparkly and shimmery to me.

I mix luster dust with lemon extract to make a paint.

to make a paint I mix the nu-silver luster dust with everclear and handpaint, airbrush, or spraybottle my cake.
