I need a cream cheese frosting recipe that doesnt need refrigeration so i can use it under fondant. any ideas?
I am by no means an expert here, but I think I've read that you shouldn't use fondant over cream cheese. I know Lorann has cheesecake flavoring. I haven't tried it, but maybe you could flavor your regular buttercream with the cheesecake flavoring and then you could use it under the fondant.
Sorry I'm not much help. I've used fondant, but never tried it over cream cheese frosting. Maybe someone who HAS tried it can offer more advice.
Sorry but I don't think their is a cream cheese icing that doesn't have to be refrigerated. Cream cheese icing doesn't work well under fondant but I think that Edan has a Crusting Cream Cheese icing recipe here on cc that can be used under fondant. It still requires refrigeration.
A regular cream cheese icing is too soft to be covered with fondant.
1 - all cream cheese frostings must be refrigerated
2 - cream cheese causes some sort of weird reaction with the fondant and the two cannot be used together.
