I am making a wedding cake, 3 tiers, middle tier to have horseshoes going around it. I have a horseshoe mold which I made with chocolate, but they seem to be too heavy to stick to the side (cream cheese frosting) and slid down. Would a buttercream transfer work or would it slide also? Any other suggestions?

perhaps, place a couple of toothpicks on the back of the horseshoe to stick it into the cake. I would do this by filling the mold with chocolate then take plastic wrap while and wrap the mold, stick the toothpicks through the wrap so that they stand up and place in the fridge until hard. I would say 2-3 toothpicks would give you plenty of security
