I recently made a cherry chip cake. All I did was use Betty Crocker cherry chip mix, mixed it as directed, but added 2 tablespoons of cheesecake pudding. Used Henry & Henry Cheery filling to fill it, vanilla buttercream frosting......the guests at the birthday party thought it was the best cake ever.

i haven't found anything that compares to BC cherry chip cake mix. So that is what I always use.

If you want chocolate in the cake though there are a lot of recipes out there for cherry chip cake (but all have chocolate and i've tried to find something similiar to the box)

what is the cherry like in the boxed mix? Dried cherries? Or like cherry flavored choc. chips?
