Was just wondering if anyone has some really good christmas/thanksgiving dinner recipes theyd like to share?
my friends and i are having a christmas in july feast, and seeing as here in aust chirstmas is in the middle of summer and we dont celebrate thanksgiving, i dont really have any recipes!
thanks heaps.
I love Christmas in July! Being a Pom now living in Oz I just can't get used to a hot Christmas We always have the full dinner with all the trimmings in July!
We have:
Roast turkey
roast potatoes
roast parsnips
stuffing
brussel sprouts
sausages wrapped in bacon
gravy
bread sauce
Christmas pudding (I have to confess I buy one, never made my own)
brandy butter
mince pies
trifle
chocolate yule log
And of course christmas cake!
If any of that sounds good let me know! Also check out the BBC food website, they have lots of good recipes on there and the Christmas ones are all cold weather friendly!
thank you so much! sausages wrapped in bacon sounds good!and brandy butter, and yule log and gravy mmmm.. basically everything!
lol, me and my friends were sitting around last christmas feeling all sad because none of us had a ever had the "traditional" christmas dinner.. so i decided we had better fix it!
thankyou. =)
