I have a question about vanilla cakes made from scratch. I am just wondering if vanilla cakes have a more plain taste than yellow. Does anyone know if there is a way of making a vanilla cake taste more flavorful?
I use a combo of vanilla(Nielsen Massey Vanilla) and french vanilla flavoring, and it's very tasty.

"Yellow" is a color, not a flavor.
A vanilla cake made with whole eggs, will be yellow in color.
A vanilla cake made with just the egg whites will be white in color.

I am aware of that I was just wondering if there would be a tastier way of making a vanilla cake!

But that's not what you asked.

How else was I to take this, other than to think that you thought yellow and vanilla two different things?
As for making vanilla cake "tastier", try a different recipe if you don't like the one you've been using up to this point. Also, use high quality ingredients. The better the ingredients that go in, the better the cake produced.
