I want to try making my buttercream with Sweetex instead of Crisco but the local grocery store doens't sell it. What is the best, and cheapest, source online?

Do a search for Hi ratio shortening. I don't know what brand I get I actually purchase it from our local cake store for 2.49 a pound. Fondantsource has it they also sell other brands in smaller containers. This is where I order my cake supplies.

Thanks - I found 3lbs Hi Lo from Kitchen Kraft for 8.99.

Hopefully the buttercream comes out great!

I don't know if you have a Gordon Food Service by you , but I order mine from them and it comes in next day. 50 lbs is 70.00 was 50.00 last year. If you have one or another place like Sysco and if they will sell it that's the cheapest way to go. I'd be broke if I had to pay shipping on top of the cost of it.
