Only very tiny ones. I am planning a halloween cake, bit early you may say but I am thinking of entering the International Cake Show in Birmingham, only the novice category so want to practise to see if I dare enter.
So I have been designing a cake, only a simple one as lots of marks are given for the actual execution of the cake, ie no finger marks, seams visable etc
There is a little spell book I am thinking of putting on it and wanted some tiny cobwebs, any ideas?? Oh and everything has to be edible
Thanks

You could make the webs from spun sugar..Boiled sugar just before it hardens it gets really stringy. The only problem is it is very fragile and can break but if you do a few trial runs it may be done.

Could you use sugar veil? Use one of the combs to get really fine threads and then twist a few together for the cobwebs?

I used cotton candy once as clown hair (is that the same thing as spun sugar?), but the humidity got to it and it was a melted mess by the time I served the cake.
