Can I use tip 16 or 18 for a reverse shell border?

You can use either one, but they'll be small. I like using #21.

you can use any size start tip (or even a petal tip) It all depends on what looks best with your design. I use anywhere from a 16 up to a 22 depending on the size of cake and how i want the design to look

Here is one where I used the petal tip (it was either 103 or 104)

this one i use probably a 17 or 18 for the top border

And the top border on this one looks like it was 18 or 20 something

You can use any size star you want. The smaller the tip opening the smaller the reverse shell will be. icon_smile.gif
