I just completed crumb coating the bottom tier of a wedding cake which is 20". None of my reftigerators are wide enough to hold it until tomorrow when I will cover it in fondant and deocrate. Can I put it in my freezer until then even though it is buttercreamed? What happens as it defrosts? Help!

Does the cake have a perishable filling? If not there is absolutely NO need to refrigerate the cake.

Thanks. It isn't perishable so I should be fine. I always worry about it being fresh and okay. The wedding is Saturday so it should be good then.
