I've brought a 'Tin Flowerpot' from my local opp shop because it is the perfect size and shape for an up coming cake I'm making (Flowerpot Cake). I was going to use it as a guide but then thought maybe I could bake the cake in it??? It is not labled are marked what it is made out of? would it be safe? picture attached
I wouldn't bake in anything that isn't food-safe specific, or at the very least, have a content label. A lot of things made in Taiwan and China contain lead, nickel, mercury, and other toxic metals.
yeah thanks I was thinking that too, so I went and pruchased a 5" round tin as I DON'T want to poison anyone
