I have never made a huge awesome layered cake.... but I want to for my cousins babyshower. The theme is green and brown and teddybears. Will regular cake mix work? Should I use dowls in the cake? ANd what about fondant? Should I use buttercream icing or fondant? Decorating ideas? icon_redface.gif

Hi

I generally use sugarpaste covering (I believe this is the same as fondant icing - the stuff you roll out) as it is more popular in the UK.

This baptism cake I made has a really cute teddy on it.
