I had a friend send me a picture of a wedding cake she is covered in Gumpaste flowers, trailing down each tier. She would like this style, but with real flowers. I've never used real my question is can I use them to "trail"down the cake...will they be too heavy to stick in the sides of the tiers? How would I go about doing that?[/img]

You can "pin" them in individually with florist wire that's bent in half like a bobby-pin.

Lighter flowers anchor to the sides of each tier, the ivy/leaves cascade down from the ledges of each tier, the heaviest flowers sit directly on the edges where their weight isn't an issue.
