hi everyone - just wondering what recipe you recommend for a good crusting buttercream so I can use a high density roller on it once it crusts over. How long do you let your cake set for before using the Viva method or the roller???
Thanks

My favorite is Indydebi's Buttercream. It only takes minutes for it to crust and be ready for the viva paper towel.
I make two adjustments to her receipe. I beat the shortening 15 minutes before adding any other ingredients and I warm the milk (I use half and half) before adding.

The reason I like this receipe is because it crust so well.

I am a sugarshack icing fan here. It crusts enough to be able to smooth it, but not too much! Everyone that tries it absolutely LOVES it here. It is my top seller.

I agree with Loucinda. Sugarshack's bc recipe is awesome in flavor, consistency and crusting. 99% of my customers love it (I had one complain it was too sweet- hello! it's frosting!)
