Hi i watched a episode of martha stewart and julia childs, and martha was making a marque shaped cake, one idea i thought was good, was she put parchment smaller square's under the cake on the tray, and just pulled them out i thought that was a good idea, but the cake, 3 layers, she cut straws, but there were gap's between then i thought she would put a border to hide it. she had a lot of marzipan decorations, and put them on top and the layers covering a little of the gaps but you could still see them, then she said and this is how i present the cake to the customer. kind of funny

I saw that same episode a few weeks ago.. the cake was pretty, but didn't look very clean.. but I def. didnt like the gaps.
