I'm making wedding cupcakes for a friend and I'm wondering how much buttercream I'll need. I'm doing just a average size swirl on top, probably similar to the ones you see in the grocery store.
I have to make 7 dozen, so I just want to make sure I have enough buttercream.
Does anyone know how much buttercream I'll need for each dozen (or each cupcake)?

maybe 4-6 pound of icing
If you use volume measurements, I use about a 1/3 of a cup per cc so about 28 cups/7 quarts needed, a lot!
