Hello:
I just started a small cake decorating business from home and still figuring out how much to charge for stuff.

I have an order for a butterfly cake (made from the pan), so basically 2 layers, filled with buttercream and piped through with the star tip. How much would you typically charge for "pan" cakes?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Also, does anyone know how many servings can typically get from such a pan?

If it is the Wilton Pan I'd say 12-15.

How much does it cost you to make the cake?

How much it costs you, how long it takes, how much profit you want all factor into how to figure out how much to charge for a cake.

It is hard to give a set price since it varies from location to location and skill to skill.
