Thanks CWR41 for posting that list. I wasn't aware of a lot of those places. This will really be helpful.

No problem! Yep, it's only a few! I'm sure others can come up with many more if they wanted to add to the list. Let me know if you're searching for more specific items (as mentioned, it doesn't include a lot of suppliers for cake dummies, boxes, and such). BTW, the blocked one on the list is www.sugarcraft.com

My favorite place is fondantsource.com. They have the best prices for supplies and shipping. I found that Fondarific brand fondant is actually cheaper at fondantsource then purchasing from the company that makes it. They are also fast a shipping your products. I ordered supplies on a Monday for a cake due the same weekend and asked that they ship as soon as possible they shipped the same day. The man that answers the phone is very friendly and will find what you are looking to purchase even if they don't happen to carry it at that time. Great company.

Thank you for the great list. Even as a hobby I find I can't everything I want locally. This will help me tremendously.

I have to agree with cad1951, Country Kitchen SweetArt is a very good place to buy products online. They are very reasonably priced and very friendly. I purchased some things and one of them were out of stock they called me back promptly and let me change my order that day. The merchandise was shipped that day and I received it in 3 days with just normal shipping. Very nice place to do business.

my favorite place is www.BRPboxshop.com They sell in qty's of 100 though, if you check out their FAQ page they have a vendor that sells their products in smaller qty's, can't remember the name of the place though, but they do list a phone number for them.

Since you said "best prices", if you compare, you'll find brpboxshop is the most expensive:
8x8x5 - $47.18 (.47 ea.) 100 pk
10x10x5 - $67.61 (.68 ea.) 100 pk

cakedeco (Pfeil & Holing):
8x8x5 - $30.75 (.31 ea.) 100 pk
10x10x5 - $34.50 (.345 ea.) 100 pk

usbox (creative packaging):
8x8x5 - (.28 ea.) 100 pk
10x10x5 - (.41 ea.) 100 pk

So, it looks like usbox has the best price for 8x8, and cakedeco is the way to go for 10x10. (if you're looking for the thin white flimsy bakery boxes instead of corrugated wedding cake sizes.)

Thanks for the info CWR41, just out of curiousity, do the cakedeco and usbox prices include shipping? I haven't checked them out yet, just wondering.

the sugar one is becuase of a legal dispute between CC and them in the past. After the legal disput CC can not allow that company to be named on the site in any of the forums.

CWR41, i just checked out cakedeco and USbox and they don't tell me what shipping will be until it ships. That is one reason I like BRPboxshop, their price includes shipping so I have no surprises, and once i figure in shipping from other places I have ordered BRP usually does have the lowest price per piece.... just another thought on the matter for what it's worth.

btw, I use cakesbysam.com and they are very good. I have found items in stock that were unavailable at other sites that shall not be named and have recieved my order within 2-3 days depending on when I order.
