Today I got an order from a frantic bride whose wedding is next Saturday! Her original favors fell through, so she needs 210 pairs (420 total) of my bride/groom buckeyes! I KNEW I should have bought more dipping chocolate at the store today! Oh well!
Anybody up for some late night dipping sessions?! icon_biggrin.gif

I hate dipping buckeyes - or I would offer to help. Have fun.

How cute! Do you mind sharing how much you charge for these?

I just took an order today for 275. It was added to an already huge week. There not bride and groom ones though. I think I can knock em out fast. I like the bride and groom ones! I have bride and groom strawberrys to dip that same week...huuuhhh.

I wish I even knew how to MAKE buckeyes! I love them, but whenever I make them they get all mushy, and don't hold up firm like the Cracker Barrel ones do.

Freeze the peanut butter balls before you dip them. It helps to keep them together. You can also try to add a little more PS.

Right...but I mean, like when you are ready to eat them....the ones you get at Cracker Barrel are nice and firm, and whenever I make them and they get to room temp and ready to eat, they're like mushy.

thanks, all! I can knock these out in 3 days, probably, if I'm really bookin'!
Using a Pampered Chef cookie scoop really helps, or I'd have carpal tunnel by now!
Menas, I charge on a graduated scale... the more you buy, the less you pay. The lowest I charge is $.80/piece, or $1.60 for the pair, not including packaging. Packaging is such an odd thing to price up front because every bride wants something different/extra to personalize it for their day.
Off I go to see how much peanut butter I have... not enough, I know!

oh, jammjenks, I already have 3 kids and a husband that are my taste testers! I don't think they'd let anyone else in the group... fewer buckeyes for them! icon_biggrin.gif

Well that stinks! You would think that with her wedding being a week away that she would want to stick with something. At some point, no one is going to make anything for her - or if they do, they are going to charge her out the ying yang!

that's for sure! I'm wondering if they're just not going to do favors at all. at this point, I don't think that they could find anything very memorable.
