Ok I plan on adding some fondant accents to a cake with buttercream icing. I am not a fan of fondant becuase of it's lack of taste. I will probably use wiltons white rolled fondat. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it taste better? Thanks!

I have never personally tried this but its my birthday today and a friend of mine made me a cake and used Wilton's fondant on the decorations. When she was kneading it she rolled into a ball and made a birds nest like thing in it and added strawberry flavoring. It was very good!

If I have to use Wilton fondant I add in some type of Lorann's flavoring..depending on my mood...coconut is good, rootbeer, strawberry as mentioned...even just butter and vanilla flavoring. Have you tried MMF? It is by far my favorite!

For 1 pkg of fondant I use 1/2-1 capful, about 1/8-1/4 teaspoon.

I've made white chocolate modeling chocolate and mixed it 50/50 with Wilton fondant and it tasted really good.
