Hi Guys,

Can i use rice krispies treats to shape the mortarboard of the graduation cap instead of cardboard? Would it be too heavy?

If you mean the actual flat top of the hat, I don't think RKT would hold the flat shape. I think it would droop.

i agree with poohsmomma, i do not think it will remain straight and flat. i always use a cake cardboard that i've covered in fondant.

I might depend on how large your hat is but a mixture of fondant and gumpaste, rolled, cut and left to harden would hold up just fine, I've done a 4" square and the bill on a baseball cap with no problem.... you would have to do it well in advance to be sure it is totally dry....

I agree with poohsmomma the RKT won't work....
