My nephew is graduating as a mechanical engineer does anyone have any ideas. Looking for something different.

My DH and I (both engineers) were thinking gears - sort of like the steampunk cakes. Levers, engines, beams, bolts, etc. Do you know what you're nephew will be doing since the major is sort of broad. If you could make something on the cake actually move that would be pretty cool, in a nerdy way
