bows, balls and pearls, likely gp or 50/50.
rest, likely fondant

My guess would be that it's cake covered with fondant. People don't tend to use gumpaste to cover a cake. Gumpaste is usually for bows, flowers and other decorations as it dries very hard. thumbs_up.gif

Why would you put it in the fridge at all?

And yes, if you're talking about the balls on wires, they very well could slide down the wires.

NO. Using milk in the icing is no reason to refrigerate a cake. (suggested reading: "Icing" thread...look in the forums to find it) Doug explains in great detail why icing that contains milk doen't require refrigeration. The fondant and icing will keep your cake fresh as it seals in the moisture.

I hate cold cake and cold icing. I do not refrigerate my cakes.

I would try and cut down at least one day out of that schedule. I am just a hobby baker, but my taste buds are the same as a professional baker, LOL!

I only like to serve cakes no more than 2 days out of the oven. Think about leftovers...when it gets to day 4 or so....not that tasty anymore. IMO.
