hello;

just wondering if anyone has any idea of how to make a scooter or a roller skate cake? the scooter she would want is the ones with pump up tyres, old school. lol.

a friend has asked me to make her one for her birthday, but i have no idea. i told her no but id love if i could manage to pull it off and surprise her. =)

any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. =)

I made one a few months ago. Built a base from plywood/dowels - then sculpted from WASC!

I made one of these the a few months ago... not sure if this is what you want or not, but it what I did was back a regular 8 in circle cake, then a 9 in square cake... I cut the circle in half and put it on each side of the square cake then carved where I needed to to make it line up... Covered it in buttercream icing... used chocolate covered donuts for the wheels and piroette cookies for the axels... here is a pic:
