Hi... I'm an amature cake maker and just found the site and was looking for some help...
I was after a recipe for a cake tower or stack???? wedding cake style???
If I just use a sponge recipe will this be strong enough to stand up??
I think I picked up a bit of info saying to use a 'pound cake recipe'????
is this right???
if so a recipe would be great

I use the "origional" WASC receipe by kakeladi found on this site. It's more about your support system than the cake itself. Some people use "straight from the box" cake mix without any problems.
I agree, the cake has less to do with it than the support system you use.
