My brother asked my to make a bday cookie cake for his buddy. He goes to FSU so he wanted Garnet and gold color frosting....How on earth do I achieve this colors so it doesnt look red and yellow.....
Garnet is like a reddish-brown, so you'd do a really deep red and then add a bit of brown to it.
Gold is also like a yellow, with a bit of brown as well...and maybe just an iota of orange.
Wilton makes a golden yellow that would work. Isn't garnet just a really deep red? Probably add some black to the red to deepen the color- or maybe some add some burgandy.
Well a real Garnet is a brownish red stone...its my birthstone haha...but I'd look up the class/team colors just to make sure you get them right.
