I'm doing a cake for my cousin's wedding...it will be an individual cake for each table centerpiece. They are making a wooden box for the cakes to sit on. My question is...should I put the cakes on a plate before putting them on the wood centerpiece or on a board? I'm not sure what my best option would be.

Thanks!!

I would have each on a cake drum (basically several cardboard cake circles sandwiched together and covered, but you can purchase them premade).
