Has anyone ever used these before? I just heard of them, and I'm not quite sure what they are used for. I need to make several small round and square cakes that are equal in height and width. Would I be able to use these to make those cakes? If not, does someone know a better way?

Cake rings are typically used for mousse cakes (i.e. taking baked cake layers and filling with mousse, unmolding from ring when mousse is set) baking cheesecake, or other applications where you build the cake inside the ring and then unmold once set. I LOVE them and use them all the time.

Ok. Since you put it that way, I do know what they are.

Thanks.
