I ordered a set of 16 luster dust, but I don't have them yet. I'm making a cake for my elderly mother for Mother's Day, and I've made 9 calla lillies and 3 roses for this cake. What can I substitute for the luster dust, as I don't expect to have it here in time? I'm very much a newbie at cake decorating, and this is my first cake for decorating in more than 20 yrs. Thanks in advance...........kay

I have read on this forum that some people use non-toxic chalk. They grate it until it's a fine powder and use it. You can purchase this at your local craft store. If you go to the search box and type in "chalk" it will bring up some of the forum topics. I hope this helps. Good luck icon_smile.gif

I've read that before, but using chalk scares me. I guess I just won't have what I need. icon_cry.gif
