my daughter's summer-themed bday is coming up and i've got plans for a dessert stand with stuff that looks like other food:

* 8" round cake that looks like a watermelon (thank you to all CCers who posted their great photos of watermelon cakes!)
* matching smash cake that looks like a slice of watermelon
* macarons that look like cheeseburgers (a la baking-911)
* cuppies that look like pies (a la What's New, Cupcake?)

my cousin requested i make cake balls ... what should i make them look like??

I just made the apple cake balls on Bakerella's site tonight. She used pieces of pretzels sticks as stems and sprinkles for leaves, but since I didn't have any sprinkles, I just piped some green leaf candy melts.

Good luck!
