Hi! I made and colored MFF back at the end of November. It has been stored in plastic covered with olive oil and stored in a tupperwear container at room temperature in my pantry. Should I toss it, or is it okay to use on a cake next weekend?

THANKS!

Pretty sure I read somewhere the MMF has a shelf life of 6 weeks when stored properly. So... I also would chuck it.

I'd throw it out as well.

I make MFF a lot and it keeps for months, have never had a problem.

LOL. It's just for a thing at work with a few friends. It looks, smells, and tastes fine...how bad would it be if I just pretend the rest of you never answered and rely solely on Patty's answer?! Ha ha.

I have also heard/read that it keeps for up to 6 months if stored at room temperature. If you want to keep it longer, you need to put it in the freezer.

If you do a search of MFF, I believe you will find that Saapena and I are correct. It keeps for at last 6 months or longer and I have kept certain colors that long with no spoilage.

I am just a hobbiest so I keep my unused mmf in the freezer. I just take it out several hours before I need it. I know that doesn't help now... I just looked at Satin Ice. It keeps for over 1 year.

Hi ~ I wouldn't worry about the MMF, it's the olive oil that bothers me. I'd think it would be
rather rancid tasting/smelling by now. BUT....if not, then use it!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

just curious, are you referring to MFF (michelle foster fondant) or MMF (marshmallow fondant) ?? I see originally referred to as mFF, but many other post are referring to mMF.
