HELLO EVERYONE......
i NEED TO COVER A STYROFOAM CAKE TOPPER ....IT'S 2 8 " CAKES STACKED......
WHEN I ROLL OUT THE FONDANT AND LAY IT ON THE CAKES ...IT RIPS AROUND THE TOP EDGE..................
I RUBBED THE DUMMIES WITH CRISCO...............WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???????
I HAVE COVERED DUMMIES BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEM....IS IT THE 8" HEIGHT?

HELP HELP HELP........

You can rub the top edge and kind of round it out a little so it's not so sharp. Not sure if that's what you mean.

Use some sandpaper to sand the top edge. That helps with the ripping.

thanks , I will try that....I thought it was from the weight and the height of the cake....8'.........since this is not a real cake...would it help if I made the fondant mixed with some tylose powder to give it more stretch .....

Try rolling it a little thicker too. icon_wink.gif
