I want to make gum paste from scratch. Can I use corn syrup mixed with gumtex and powdered sugar?

I use the recipe on the back of the Wilton Gum Tex containter... works great for me!

Hey ladies, I actually tried it out and it worked for me. Instead of buying wilton glucose I substituted corn syrup!

I used the recipe on the back of the Wilton Gum Tex too . . . this morning it sure feels pretty hard . . last night it was really nice! Is it suppose to be that hard? I will be using a lot of muscle to get it back into shape tonight!
