Metallic Gold/silver?

how do i make gold and silver on my cake? is there a food paint that i get or how do you guys do it?

You cannot dye buttercream a metallic color. There is airbrush metallic gold and silver. The other option is to cover your cake in fondant and then brush on a paint made of vodka and luster dust.

I think it depends on how much you need to cover, but I would suggest starting with about a teaspoon and mixing it until its "paint" consistency. If its leaving thin spots then add more luster dust. I also was told that using white rum is better to use because it smells better while working with it. Hope it works for you! icon_smile.gif
