After crumb coating all 5 tiers of this wedding cake(6,8,10,12,14) the 8" is clearly shorter than the others by 1/2 and inch! what should i do? Can I "fake" it with extra icing on top, and cut the dowels long enough so that the 6" doesn't squish into the icing???? I have no time to re bake that tier.
you can put it onto a piece of 1/2" foam core board and then reice over the whole cake and the foam core!
Sugarshack does this on all her cakes!
okay, I don't have any foam core, would this work with a stack of cake boards??
I don't see why not, I would glue them all together first so they don't budge!
