Hey everyone, I have a couple quick questions. I have a real problem getting smooth fondant on the sides of my cakes. It always bunches up on me and I can seem to get it right. Any suggestions on how to get it right?

I also had a question on fondant patching. If I make a mistake with the fondant, how do I patch it without messing up the quality of the fondant. Suggestions in the past have been to use shortening, but it makes shiny spots on the cakes and then it you want to paint the fondant, it doesn't apply right in those places. Any help would be GREATLY apprciated!!!!

You need to watch some tutorials on how to cover a cake with fondant. This will help you learn how to properly apply fondant. There are several on youtube.
