i need to make 2 fondant figures that will be standing beside a pool table cake. Is is better to make the legs first, let them dry laying flat then stand them up and build up from there? I dont want them to get cankles!! LOL I need to do a waitress and a pool player. Any advice making them???

i put toothpicks, or some sort of support in my legs, then dry them in styrofoam.....I also use the toothpicks to secure them to the cake....
