Hi icon_surprised.gif)

Stupid question alert!!

I was asked to make a simple one layer wedding cake and I've always wanted to do the ribbon detail on the bottom.

Do I attached it with a single pin where the two edges meet, or do I attach it dabs of corn syrup?

Also, what ribbon would be best to use? My cake will be covered in fondant.

Thanks!

Hi, I use satin ribbon and use double sided sticky tape to stick the two ends together. Never use pins. icon_biggrin.gif

I use any kind of ribbon but I line every piece of it with waxed paper and use double sided tape. It's not good for your ribbon to touch the BC because of the dye used it in (it's not food safe).

Don't use pins b/c those aren't food safe.

I like to use BC to keep the ribbon ends together.
