I am very frustrated with my cakes. For some reason they keep sinking in the middle. I make the duncan hines butter recipe cake. I haven't found a recipe to make cakes from scratch that I like. I have decreased the temp to 325. I have decreased the beating time from 4min to 2min. I have increased the time back up to 350. I do not remove the cake from the oven until it is done. On top of it sinking. Yesterday I made five cakes and I do not think that any of them rose the way they should. I just don't know what else is wrong! Please provide any suggestions. Thank you. .

In addition to mixing time, the speed is also important.

Are you using a stand or an electric hand mixer?

I have trouble with that cake mix in the 8x3 in pan. There is something about it and it sinks every time, even though it is completely done with torted.
