I wondering how much one recipe of smbc makes?

If I were to frost cupcakes, piping, would 1 recipe be enough for 12? 24?
Going by the ingred amounts I am guess about 4 to 5 cups of icing, depending on how thick you put it on, you should get 24 out a recipe.
